I created this cover from a pair of ripped black denim jeans. After taking apart the pieces, I used a stencil I made to put the spirals on the fabric using a gel-type bleach solution. Once the fabric was washed, I then painted the spirals with a shiny gold fabric paint. Finally, I hand-stitched the spirals with a buttonhole thread to give the design added texture before assembling the cover. The inside lining is made from a fabric that has black and yellow spirals printed on it to compliment the outer cover.
